"I returned this device because the magnets seemed to be much too strong. I didn’t want to chance pulling the screws out of the side of my trailer or out of the door. The retainer was beautifully made and very fairly priced. I wish I could have used it. Can you make one with less powerful magnets?"
Magnets too strong
"If you get these you'd better use longer screws than the ones provided and make sure you're screwing into hardwood, otherwise trying to close a door held open by these magnets will pull one side right out. The magnets are actually too strong. I found them too difficult to separate without sliding them sideways, which obviously defeats their purpose."
